As with most service organizations, the service and donations provided by the Club are made possible by the funds raised by it and
donated to it. The two principal fund raising projects of the Club are its annual Pancake Day and Peanut Day.
For 57 years,
the Club has held its Pancake Day in March or April. The members and helpers did everything: sell tickets; set up tables,
chairs, servicing areas, cooking areas; and decorate the space for the event. Pancake Day is held in the meeting room of the
Senior Center in La Grange.
The annual Peanut Day is held on the fourth Thursday and Friday of September. The members collect
donations at various locations throughout the community and 'sell' the famous Kiwanis Peanuts.
Over the years, the Club has raised
more than $670,000 and 100% of the net revenues has been donated back to the community.
